Dainelli Studio’s Birds Eye View collection for YO2 takes its inspiration from a bird’s vista from above as it flies over desert sand dunes or vast lakes. The project includes rugs and wallpaper united by the same pattern – defined by lines sketching shapes with irregular profiles – and available in four colourways. Nuanced pale grey combines with dark grey in the chromatic palette, with touches of various shades of green, yellow ochre and sandy beige.

Unfortunately, due to human activities, they are perishing at an alarming rate and one of the main results is coral bleaching. This phenomenon occurs when water is too warm (global warming) and corals expel the symbiotic algae living in their tissues causing the coral to turn completely white before briefly acquiring a fluorescent color that signals their imminent demise…

The “Caracollage” rug collection is inspired by the designer’s workshop, which over the years conserves, cuts and superimposes the fragments of his projects. Material samples, shapes’ details, particles of an imaginary space come together and recreate a new composition. The color range, which at first mixes neutral shades and elementary colors, lights up with a summery palette or takes different perspectives with carnal tones.

Jupiter is part of the first collection of rugs designed by Dainelli Studio for YO2. The project includes four patterns, all available in two colourways, with a sinuous, irregular geometric line reminiscent, from some directions, of neoclassical architecture, and from others of cubist paintings. The colours range from dark green to yellow, with a predominance of grey providing the neutral base in all versions.

Many species inhabiting this planet are already extinct or in the brink of extinction and the numbers rise day by day. Most of us are unaware of this fact, which affects us though, directly even if we do not realize it. The results of our actions are literally underneath our feet.
